Prices and treatment journey

The price of dental aligners and night guards in Tallinn

A dental splint can mean two different things, and they have different prices. An orthodontic aligner straightens teeth: the treatment costs 2500 euros for one dental arch and 4500 euros for both. A night guard protects teeth from grinding at night and costs 600 euros. Both are provided by Dr. Robert Boyd.

Aligner and night guard: what is the difference

An orthodontic aligner is a series of aligners that moves the teeth step by step into a new position. The treatment takes 6–18 months and check-up visits are included in the price.

A night guard is a single hard protective splint that you wear at night. It does not move the teeth; it creates a durable protective surface between them. A night guard is ready in 2–3 weeks.

What is included in the price of aligner treatment

The price of the treatment includes the series of aligners and check-up visits every two weeks. A consultation with a 3D scan costs 160 euros. At the end of the treatment a retainer is added at 150–300 euros, which holds the teeth in their new position.

The price of the treatment depends on how much the teeth need to move and how many aligners this takes. You get the exact price with a treatment plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which splint do I need?
If you want straighter teeth, you need an orthodontic aligner. If your teeth or dental work are wearing down because of grinding at night, a night guard may be suitable. The dentist assesses at the consultation which one suits your situation.
Does aligner treatment suit every bite problem?
No. Aligners suit mild and moderate bite problems. A complex problem may need braces or combined treatment. We will find this out at the consultation.
Do the check-up visits cost extra?
No. During aligner treatment you come in for a check-up every two weeks, and these visits are included in the price of the treatment.
